We are thrilled to be opening the doors to Beeforth’s Hive as a venue for North Yorkshire Open Studios once again.

We are also delighted that Louise Bass will be returning as our resident artist and is joined this year for the first time by Scarborough creative Matt Machouki.

Inspired by the seaside and a medley of characters Louise’s paintings are simple, fresh and colourful. She uses a combination of paint, print, stencil and collage in her work.

Matt’s medium is ceramics, specialising in fashioning giant stoneware pots inspired by natural, architectural and industrial forms.

Visitors can drop into the Hive any time from 10am to 5pm where Louise and Matt will be on hand to answer any questions about their work. Everyone welcome.
