Introducing ‘Poetry Open House’ – at Beeforth’s Hive, South Cliff gardens, Esplanade, Scarborough 6 to 7.15pm on Friday 4^th August

Interested in poetry? In writing, performing – or just reading or listening to it?

There’s nothing as powerful as poetry for focussing on and disentangling what we think and how we feel; for making us smile, sigh or remember.

Come along to a friendly, relaxed, shared gathering (there’ll be no contests or critiques, no ‘slamming’, no ‘ranting’!)

*share what you like,

*make new discoveries

*meet other poetry followers

*find out what’s going on poetically around Scarborough and

*admire the wonderful new community centre at Beeforth’s Hive, behind the Rose Garden on South Cliff Gardens @ YO11 2BA!

If you want, bring along a poem you love or that you’ve written (or both) and that you’d like to share. If you don’t want to read it aloud yourself, we’ll do that for you!

No charge for entry – and a complementary cuppa or soft drink and biscuits to wash down the beautiful words and good company.

Places are limited so, to book one or more, email felixhodcroft1@gmail.com, letting Felix know if you have a poem – either your own or someone else’s – that you’d like to share.
