It’s that time of year again when we gather to count our feathered friends for the annual RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch.

After meeting outside Beeforth’s Hive for 10am we will then make our way down to the Italian Gardens for a tranquil hour of ornithology. In past years we have spotted species from robins and bluetits to woodpeckers, tree creepers and even the odd bird of prey.

Whist there is plenty of shelter we still advise that you wrap up in warm, waterproof clothing and wear appropriate outdoor footwear.

This is a free activity, no need to book. Dogs on lead welcome.
