Scarborough 400: Stitch Your Story!

Be a Part of Scarborough’s History! Join our Scarborough 400 Community Quilt Project.
Help create a beautiful community wall hanging for Beeforth’s Hive. Join local sewing teacher Millie Robinson to celebrate 400 years of our town. Using Free-Motion Embroidery (drawing with thread), you will stitch a postcard panel of your favourite seaside memory: from the Castle to beach huts, South Cliff clock tower to dolphins…
• When: Mondays 27 July, 3 August, or 10 August I 1pm — 4pm
• Where: Beeforth’s Hive, South Cliff Gardens
• Skills: Absolutely no experience needed. Machines and all upcycled fabrics provided! Age 10+ (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet the maker.
Millie Robinson is a North Yorkshire based artist and former primary school teacher with a passion for helping people of all ages find their creative joy through sewing. For this project, Millie is bringing her love of Scarborough to the Hive, guiding you to draw with thread and leave your own mark on our community quilt.
