In May our Community Engagement Officer was heavily involved in the planning of a family book festival scheduled for 25th April to coincide with “Books by the Beach” which provide a family destination for booklovers. A number of organisations were due to take part including National Literacy Trust, Children’s University and the Beach Hut Theatre Company. Due to Covid 19, the festival unfortunately had to be postponed.
However through great collaboration with our literacy champions, our volunteers and internal tech team we are relaunching the festival this week online! Join us for talks by local authors, readings, online workshops and fun book related activities. Watch our website and social media channels for more information.
